🛒 ORDERS & SAMPLES
Can I order samples before buying?
Yes — we offer free samples so you can check colour, texture and finish in your own lighting before placing a full order.
How big are the samples?
Samples are cut pieces designed to show the colour and construction of the board. They may not show full plank length or complete pattern variation.
How many samples should I order?
We suggest choosing 2–4 options so you can compare tones and finishes in your space.
Do sample colours exactly match full boards?
They are very close, but natural and printed floors can have shade and grain variation across full planks.
🚚 DELIVERY
How long does delivery take?
Many of our products can be delivered next working day when ordered before 12pm. Other items typically arrive within 2–5 working days depending on product and location. We will confirm your lead time after ordering.
How is flooring delivered?
Orders are delivered on a pallet via a kerbside delivery service. The driver cannot take goods inside the property.
Do I need to be home?
Yes. Someone must be present to receive the delivery and check for damage before signing.
What if my flooring arrives damaged?
Please inspect all packs before signing. If there is visible damage, sign as "damaged" and send photos to us within 24 hours so we can resolve it quickly.
Do you deliver upstairs or inside?
No, delivery is kerbside only. Flooring packs are heavy, so please arrange help if needed.
Do you deliver to Scotland / Highlands / Islands?
We deliver throughout mainland Great Britain. Some remote areas may have longer lead times or surcharges — contact us for details.
How do I track my order?
We will send tracking details once your order has been dispatched.
Are all my items shipped together?
Sometimes items may arrive separately if they come from different warehouses.
When should I book my installer?
We strongly recommend waiting until your flooring has arrived and been checked before booking installation. We cannot cover fitting costs due to delivery delays or damages.
📦 RETURNS & CANCELLATIONS
What is your return policy?
We accept returns on unopened packs within 30 days of delivery. Return collection charges and restocking fees may apply. Please see our Returns Policy for full details.
Can I return leftover flooring?
Yes, unopened packs can be returned within 30 days (charges apply).
Can I return opened boxes?
No — once opened, flooring cannot be returned unless faulty.
Can I cancel my order?
Orders can be cancelled before dispatch. Once goods have been shipped, cancellation may not be possible and return charges may apply.
What if I receive a defective product?
Please inspect all flooring before installation. Any manufacturing defects must be reported before fitting. Once installed, the product is considered accepted.
🛠 INSTALLATION
Do you offer installation?
Yes — we provide professional flooring installation nationwide across the UK. Visit our Installation Service page for more details or contact us for a quote.
Can I install the flooring myself?
Many products are DIY-friendly, especially click systems. Always follow the manufacturer's instructions.
Do I need underlay?
Some floors have built-in underlay. Others require a separate underlay. The product page will specify this. We stock a range of underlays in our Flooring Accessories collection.
Can this flooring go over underfloor heating?
Many floors are suitable for underfloor heating, but always check the product specifications and heating system type.
Does the floor need to acclimatise?
Yes. Flooring should be left in the room where it will be installed for 24–48 hours before fitting.
Do I need expansion gaps?
Yes. All floating floors require expansion gaps around the room edges.
🎨 PRODUCT & APPEARANCE
Will all boards look identical?
No. Natural wood and printed designs have shade and grain variation, which is part of their character.
Will my floor look exactly like website photos?
Images are for guidance only. Colour and shade may vary depending on lighting and screen settings.
Can I order more later and get the same batch?
We can't guarantee batch matching later, so we recommend ordering enough at the start.
What is the wear layer and why does it matter?
The wear layer protects the floor surface. A thicker wear layer generally offers better durability for busy homes.
How do I calculate how much flooring I need?
Measure the length and width of your room in metres, multiply to get square metres (m²), then add 10% extra for straight plank flooring or 15% for herringbone patterns to account for cuts and wastage. Our product pages include an m² calculator to help.
🧽 CARE & MAINTENANCE
How do I clean my new floor?
Use a vacuum or soft brush and a slightly damp mop with a manufacturer-approved cleaner. We stock suitable cleaners in our Flooring Accessories range.
Can I use a steam mop?
Steam mops are not recommended for most flooring types.
Do I need felt pads on furniture?
Yes — felt pads help prevent scratches and prolong floor life.
💰 PRICING & PAYMENTS
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept major debit and credit cards, PayPal and other secure checkout methods shown at checkout.
How secure is my personal information?
Your payment details are encrypted and processed securely using industry-standard SSL technology.
🧱 SUBFLOOR & PREP
Does my subfloor need to be level?
Yes. Most floors require a smooth, level surface. You may need levelling compound.
Do I need a damp proof membrane (DPM)?
Concrete subfloors often require a DPM — check product instructions.
